Imagination - A rare quality and a scarce commodity, though not widely prized nor sought - when an individual displays evidence of being in possession of one they are shunned by general society, and can expect criticism from special society

An imagination in the wrong hands can be a powerful tool for change

April is Earthquake Preparedness month. For a little added incentive, consider this- The most powerful earthquake to strike the United States occurred in 1811 in New Madrid, Missouri. The quake shook more than one million square miles, and was felt as far as 1,000 miles away.

Art's the one that costs money to look at.

I'm not certain what you are after. "Art" can pretty much be anything that an artist says is art and/or that which an audience accepts as "Art".

Whether the resulting work is "good" or "bad" is another question altogether.

Where do YOU draw the line?

Honestly, I think you're over-thinking it. You have a boyfriend...so it'd be safe to say he's your primary friend...right? And you see your book club friends once a month, on the regular, right? So there's 4 friends right off the bat.

Your friends with kids...are they working outside the home? If not, I bet they'd LOVE to get together with you, if you can tolerate being around the kids as well. Mommies crave adult time, if they're stay at home moms. And usually, if they ARE working outside the home, with enough plan-ahead warning, they can work it out to get an evening out, or something else. You know...they can get a babysitter or something.

Granted...it's different now. Usually, with age, comes responsibilities that eat up our free time. But with some planning...you can keep in touch with them.

Do the younger generation really care that much about this? They don't seem to appreciate craftsmanship or history. They raze or gut historic homes. They call antiques relics of past and view it as clutter, refuse grandma's armoire which has been in the family for generations. In favor of "modern" design which looks like cheap boxes. Maybe they don't really care much about this building or what it represents.

Scotch Finger Biscuits

Pretentious name given to dry and tasteless biscuits served only when nothing better is available, often with weak and foul smelling tea
