A lot of people who have equipment like snowblowers relish any opportunity to use it. I suspect that your neighbor feels like he's doing a good deed when he helps out his neighbors. If he pushes, tell him that you appreciate the effort, but that you're worried about the gravel in your driveway damaging his equipment. This doesn't seem like the hill to die on.

Progressive vs. Fundamental Christianity

January 21, 2019 at 2:01 AM

It was suggested to me by the moderator (MQ) of another hotly debated thread that I should begin one which discusses the differences between progressive and fundamental Christianity. My prayer is that we try and be civil with one another as we discuss our differences.

From what I have learned so far, the progressive movement started somewhere in the 18th century and developed as an alternative to the fundamental study of truth and increasingly became more about social justice issues, especially in regard to what we see today. It is also my understanding that Friedrich Schleiermacher is regarded as the "father' of the progressive movement in which he sought to bridge the gap between the staunch fundamental ideologies and the "new thought" that developed during the period known as the Enlightenment. That's about all I have right now but if someone would care to expand on this and even correct any mistakes I have made, then please feel free to do so.

So let's get started and thank you to everyone for your valuable input. Blessings...

Um, can’t you just get up and look out the window and see if he’s clearing your driveway?

Yes, vitamin C and Zinc help always help with healthy eating, getting enough sleep, exercise, hand washing, etc. Depending on you overall health and lifestyle your resistance will be greater. Certain situations that make you more susceptible that can’t be avoided can be a real problem, like airplane air, or being indoors with a large group of people. It’s not like you can bring along and just breath you own air!

I fully disagree with how the media portrays both sides, since it's missing out on the key fact that both are reptilians that are obsessed with taking over the human race. The entire partisan dynamic is just a farce put on to keep the ignorant masses off their figurative and literal tail.

Why is it offensive for dogs to lick dishes before being washed?

January 21, 2019 at 1:34 AM

A friend of mine recently witnessed a well-behaved and very clean dog lick dishes that were sitting in the dishwasher, before the dog's owner ran the dishwasher. The friend was very upset and said that for a dog to lick dishes, even before the dishwasher cleaned them, was repulsive.

I see nothing wrong with a dog licking dishes before they're washed.
