The
Relationship Mode feature on Zocialized allows users to define and specify their current relationship goals and status, ensuring they are matched with other members who share similar intentions and are looking for compatible connections. This setting tailors the user experience to help individuals find partners that align with their specific desires, from casual connections to long-term partnerships.- Navigate to Settings: Go to your main profile or account settings area within the Zocialized app.
- Select Relationship Goals: Choose from a range of predefined options that best describe what you are looking for, which may include:
- Casual Connections
- Dating (short-term)
- Long-term Relationship
- Friendship/Networking
- Activate Mode: Toggling this mode ensures that the matchmaking process prioritizes individuals seeking similar outcomes, enhancing the quality and relevance of connections.
- Filter out Misaligned Intentions: It helps prevent mismatched expectations by connecting people who are on the same page regarding relationship commitment levels.
- Tailored Matching: The MatchIQ engine integrates this preference into its compatibility scoring, providing more precise and relevant potential partners.
- Improved User Experience: By filtering matches according to the set mode, users save time and emotional energy that might otherwise be spent navigating incompatible interests.
- Privacy and Clarity: It provides a clear way to communicate intentions within the community, fostering a more transparent and comfortable environment.
Privacy and Visibility
At Zocialized, we believe your relationship goals are personal. We provide granular control over who sees your Relationship Mode status and how it affects your visibility within the community.
1. Profile Visibility
Users can control how their selected Relationship Mode appears on their public profile:
Public Badge (Default): Your selected mode (e.g., "Casual Connections" or "Networking") is displayed as a badge near your profile photo. This signals your intent clearly to anyone viewing your profile.
Stealth Mode: Users may choose to hide the badge from their public profile. In this case, your Relationship Mode is visible only to the MatchIQ™ algorithm for filtering purposes, but not to other users browsing casually.
2. Search Appearance
Your selected mode determines who can find you in the Discovery feed:
Reciprocal Matching: You will primarily appear in the search results of other users whose relationship goals align with yours. For example, if you select "Dating (Short-term)," you will be prioritized in the feeds of others seeking short-term dating.
Cross-Mode Visibility: By default, you are hidden from users seeking fundamentally incompatible goals (e.g., a "Long-term Partnership" user will not typically see a user set to strictly "Casual" to prevent wasted time).
3. Incognito Browsing
For users who wish to browse potential matches without revealing their current status:
Ghost Toggle: When activated, you can browse profiles based on your selected Relationship Mode, but your profile will be hidden from the general pool until you initiate a connection request or "like" another profile.
4. Data Privacy
Algorithm Use: Your Relationship Mode selection is used exclusively by the MatchIQ™ Engine to calculate compatibility scores.
No Third-Party Sharing: Zocialized does not share your specific relationship intent data with third-party advertisers.
