Zocialized Notebook: User Documentation

1. Overview

Zocialized Notebook is an AI-native research and analysis workspace powered by Google’s NotebookLM Enterprise engine. Unlike general AI chatbots that draw from the entire internet, this notebook is Grounded: it only knows what is contained within the sources you provide.

The Core Principle: "If it’s not in your sources, it’s not in the answer." This eliminates "hallucinations" and ensures 100% factual accuracy based on your data.

2. Interface Anatomy

ElementFunctionWhat it means for you
SOURCES PanelInput ManagementUpload PDFs, text files, or URLs. Toggle checkboxes to tell the AI which specific files to "listen" to.
IDLE StatusSystem HeartbeatIDLE means the AI has finished indexing your files. THINKING means it is currently analyzing data to answer a query.
NOTEBOOK OVERVIEWExecutive SummaryA high-level dashboard where you can generate "Study Guides," "FAQ Sheets," or "Table of Contents."
CITATIONSVerificationSmall numbers (e.g., [1]) in the AI's response. Click them to jump to the exact paragraph in the source document.

3. Key 2025 Features

🎙️ Interactive Audio Overviews

Generate a "Deep Dive" podcast featuring two AI hosts discussing your documents.

  • The 2025 Update: You can now click "Join Conversation" to interrupt the hosts. You can ask them to "focus more on the financial data" or "explain the conclusion again," and they will adapt in real-time.

🎭 Advanced Personas (Custom Instructions)

You can now provide up to 10,000 characters of instructions to customize the AI's behavior.

  • Example: "Act as a Technical Auditor. Use a skeptical tone, focus on security risks, and ignore all marketing fluff."

🌐 Deep Research Agent

This tool allows the AI to briefly step outside your notebook to the live web.

  • Use Case: If your PDF mentions a specific law, you can ask the Research Agent to "Find the latest 2025 updates on this regulation" and add that report as a new source.

📊 Structured Data Extraction

The AI can scan messy, unstructured documents and convert them into clean data tables. These tables can be exported directly to CSV or Google Sheets.

4. Step-by-Step: Your First Analysis

  1. Upload: Add your files to the Sources panel on the left.

  2. Select: Ensure the checkboxes next to the relevant files are checked.

  3. Wait for IDLE: Once the status shows IDLE, the AI has mapped your data.

  4. Inquire: Use the chat box to ask questions like:

    • "What are the 3 biggest risks mentioned in these documents?"

    • "Summarize the differences between Source A and Source B."

    • "Create a timeline of events based on the meeting notes."

  5. Verify: Click the Citations to see the original text and ensure the AI hasn't missed any context.

5. Privacy & Security

Because Zocialized uses the Enterprise version of the Google engine:

  • No Training: Your data is NOT used to train Google’s public AI models.

  • Siloed Data: Your notebook is private to you (or your organization).

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted at rest and in transit between the Zocialized web interface and the backend servers.
